Muhammad Officially Joins FC Osaka On Loan

The management has officially agreed to loan Selangor FC's young player, Muhammad bin Abu Khalil to FC Osaka, a Japanese club that competes in the J3 League, starting this month after receiving an offer shortly after completing a trial session on the last June 24th until July 2nd.

Muhammad is one of the young players entering the 2023 season who has played in 18 MFL Cup matches as the prominent player and managed to make his debut in the Malaysian Super League with the Red Giants main squad in the same year. For this achievement, he was called up to the national under-23 team for two Asian Cup for two matches against Uzbekistan and Vietnam.

According to Muhammad, he is grateful for the opportunity given, "Thank God, who would have thought that I would be able to play abroad? First and foremost, I’d like to thank Selangor FC for providing me with the opportunity to travel to Japan on loan with FC Osaka. I see this as an opportunity to advance in my football career with the system they have. To be honest, I learnt a lot throughout the trial session. I am also very grateful that FC Osaka believed in my abilities to help their squad enhance its performance in the J3 League competition. I will do my best to make my family, Selangor FC, and Malaysia proud, with the goal that more local talent will be discovered by other countries. God willing."

FC Osaka is currently in 3rd place sharing points with the team in 2nd place in the J3 League competition. The club, which was established in 1996 and is located in Higashiosaka, Osaka, stated that they had high hopes for Muhammad's ability, especially in the attack area after he scored several goals during the trial session. According to FC Osaka, Muhammad's offensive skills were the best in the team during his time with them. In keeping with their objective to promote Osaka, they are pleased to offer Muhammad a loan position in the FC Osaka.

Before the end of the interview with Muhammad, he had time to leave a message to the Red Giants camp, "I want to thank everyone who has helped me to get to this level. May we both have success for the 2024/25 season.”

Selangor FC is proud of Muhammad's dedication and achievements, which have led to an offer on loan from FC Osaka. We wish Muhammad success in the J3 League. Let’s go Mad!
